I sweat the small stuff.
It’s the small stuff that either enhances or detracts from, or dilutes, the large stuff.
I worry about those detractions, and how they might bring down the valuable work we’re creating and providing.
And, as pianist Lara Downes says, “Beauty is often found in quick moments and small details.”
I have found that to be true in my work: I frequently produce content that’s only 22 seconds long. I believe I am creating a 22 second program – and not just filler.
Because I fear those detractions and dilutions – and because I believe in the hope and the potential of something small – I sweat the small stuff.
