Warmly regarded as the long time Host of the groundbreaking program, “From the Top,” Christopher O’Riley is the quintessential musician, performer and arranger.

Winner of the Montreal, Busoni, Leeds and the Cliburn competitions, and the recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant, afforded him repeat appearances with virtually every major American orchestra: New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, San Francisco Symphony; the orchestras of Seattle, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Cincinnati and many more. During his tenure at From the Top, O’Riley began making his arrangements of bands and musicians he was passionate about, including Radiohead, Nick Drake Elliott Smith, Cocteau Twins, The Smiths, Tori Amos, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Tears For Fears, Portishead and the Cure.

His current project is devoted to his lifelong teacher. “Everything We Need to Know About Playing the Piano We Learn from The Well-Tempered Clavier” series of videos.
