The Imani Winds is a 21st century woodwind quintet specializing in music from the past 100 years and the next 100 years. They are singularly responsible for the revolution and evolution of the woodwind quintet. The Imani Winds actively commission new music from composers of different racial, gender, ethnic and geographical backgrounds. These composers embrace the present and the life, beauty and social struggles of our country and the citizens of every continent.
