Joshua Banbury is a vocal artist and librettist working in opera and jazz. In January 2023, he presented a recital he designed with pianist, Aaron Diehl performing an all-Billy Strayhorn groundbreaking concert program bringing Strayhorn’s music and lyrics together with his own vivid diary writings born out of his sometimes traumatic upbringing as a queer musician growing up in a small town in Texas.
