Pedro H. da Silva is a multicultural composer, equally at home writing for orchestra, for film, a Middle Eastern ensemble and his rock band Tritone Kings. He’s also an innovator of the virtually unknown Portuguese guitar, classical guitar, and other plucked string instruments. His passion for the sitar started on a school field trip, he was 14 years old, and someone played the Beatle Sergeant Peppers album, where the sitar is at the heart of George Harrison’s Within Without You.

His Concerto for Portuguese Guitar and Orchestra was recorded by the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields and is set for release in the Summer (2023).
