Stephanie Susberich is a composer and vocalist, holding a BA from New York University, an MM in classical vocal performance from New Jersey City University, a graduate diploma in composition from the Longy School of Music (where her composition, “Woodscrossings” won the Eighth Annual Pappalardo Competition).
Stephanie’s music has been premiered by the Etchings Festival, International Contemporary Ensemble, and Radius Ensemble.
For her soon to be released debut CD, she’s composed a song cycle set to the poetry of the nearly forgotten Cuban poetess, Juana Borrero. Her work has never been translated, and Stephanie’s English translations are the only known to exist, though she sings the cycle in the original Spanish.
