Pianist Vanessa Perez made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2004, but her first New York performance was at the downtown jazz shrine, the Blue Note, where Latin jazz star Arturo Sandoval invited her to perform his composition “Sureña,” a piece laced with Venezuelan folk melodies.

In recent years, Perez’s performance highlights have ranged from concerts with Gustavo Dudamel and at the Casals Festival in Puerto Rico. She has played with symphony orchestras in the U.S. from Miami to Vermont, and in solo recitals from Manhattan to San Diego and at the Wigmore Hall in London.

Her most recent project, "New Worlds," starred actor Bill Murray, with whom she performed in every major American and European city.

Her next project with Bill Murray is Americas, scheduled to debut later this year, with arrangements made by her husband Steve Buck.
