It's Never Too Late.

It’s never too late to learn how to play and instrument, or to get your old clarinet out of the closet.

I wish I had stayed with my piano lessons.

I’m so glad my parents directed me to play violin.

My parents forced me to play the flute growing up even though I hated it. I dreaded my lessons.  Now, 25 years later, I’m glad they did…and I follow my old teacher on Facebook.

Any of that sound familiar to you?

It’s never too late.

In fact the innovative percussionist, Evelyn Glennie recommends playing drums.

"It's very approachable. There are no class barriers to percussion. You can share percussion with a five year old or a ninety-five year old. There are great therapeutic aspects to percussion playing. You know, the sense of touch in dealing with percussion as with all instruments is so enhanced. And this is something that can really be quite infectious for all sorts of people."

With that in mind, I invited percussionist Lisa Pegher into my “kitchen.”
